Tuned cannot track manual activity done on your exchange. Closing an order manually, via exchange, will likely cause an error, as Tuned will believe the order is still open. If you want to manually close an order, we recommend clicking “Market Close Position” in the respective live run on Tuned.
Note: Tuned closes positions by executing an order of equal position size to the previous order, but with the opposite signal, which ends up being equal to net 0 position size in the exchange (no position open).
What if I want to end my live run, but I've already closed the position on the exchange?
You'll want to navigate to the “Pause” icon, next to the respective run and choose “Pause now and leave position open”. Remember that in this case Tuned doesn't know that there was a manual close on the exchange. If "Pause now & Market close" was selected, Tuned would open an opposite order, assuming the previous position still needed to be closed.
Disclaimer: Tuned calculates the current balance of a live run based on the positions it considers to be open. Discrepancies can appear between the balance of a syndication and the balance in the exchange, when traders manually interfere with automated orders.
