Creating an API on FTX (Main Account)
To start with you will need to navigate to the FTX website
Login to your account
Once you are logged in you will need to navigate to your account settings by clicking the settings icon in the top right hand corner
This is the screen you should see if you have correctly navigated to the Account Settings
On the left hand side you can see a Menu, in this menu there is a button named 'API'. Click this
Next you will need to click 'Create API Key'
Upon clicking this button a small window will pop-up with your 'API key', and your 'API Secret'
DO NOT SHARE THIS WITH ANYONE!
Note : Copy both of these keys into a temporary NotePad document. You will only see the API Secret one time!
The above API key and API Secret are for visual purposes only, and are ineffective.
This concludes the "Creating an API on FTX" section, the next step is to connect this API to your Tuned account
By default "Withdrawals enabled" and "Internal transfers enabled" are turned off. Leave it this way. Tuned does not use these functions, nor do we intend to.
Creating an API on FTX (Sub Account)
After logging in to the FTX website, you need to navigate to the account settings by clicking on the settings icon on top right hand corner
If you already have a sub account under your main account, it will be shown as below
You can switch to your main and your sub account by clicking on either. If you don't have a sub account already, you can create one by clicking on create button adjoining the transfer button.
Once we have a sub account, let's create an api for the sub account.
To create an api, we need to click on the sub account, in this case it's Test1. When we click on it, it gets highlighted.
Now, the the api section shows all the api's of the main account and the sub account, if we already have apis.
To create a new API key for the sub account, click on
As soon as you click on CREATE API KEY FOR the sub account name, it gives a popup with the key and secret.

We now have an API key and secret for our sub account. We can now add our sub account API key and secret to out Tuned Account, following below steps.
Connecting my new API to my Tuned Account
Navigate to your Tuned account settings.
Click on 'Account Dashboard'
Once you are in the Account Dashboard you will see a menu on the left hand side, Click 'Exchanges'
Next click 'Add API Key'
On the next screen you will see 4 boxes

- Exchange
- Name
- API Key
- API Secret
Fill in the 'Exchange' as 'FTX Futures'
Give your API a 'Name'
Where it says API Key, you will need to paste in the Key that was given when creating the API Key
Same goes for API Secret
To connect your FTX Sub account with tuned, you will see below image, with a Sub Account Name text box which needs to be filled with the sub account name created on the FTX exchange.
NOTE : Sub Account Name needs to be filled only if you are connecting your sub account API to tuned, else this needs to be kept empty.

All you need to do now is click 'SAVE' and you're all set!
